Being aware that everyone has something to teach and something to learn is an important step in becoming an educator. It is my belief that teacher and student need to be able to talk as well as listen to each other in order to create a positive learning environment. I want my students to walk away at the end of each day with a better understanding of how the world works.

Fith GradeAs a fifth grader, your child will need to accept and develop a strong sense of responsibility for his/her studies. I have very high expectations that your child will take control of the work and assignments for the year. I will do all that I can to guide and assist them to stay organized, stay on task, as well as teach them proper time management skills. I feel that by getting started early in these areas, the transition to Junior High will be a much smoother process.

Our fifth grade curriculum includes extensive study in the areas of Religion, Math, Language Arts, Reading, Spelling, Social Studies, and Science. We will be doing many projects, both group and individual that will broaden social skills and encourage new perspectives. We will also have field trips and prepare and celebrate a very important Mass for Grandparents.

At Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, my mission as an educator is to educate, inform, and inspire the minds of my students, for they are our future and our legacy.
