CAFETERIA NEWS 9/8/11
Once again we will be offering nutritious, low cost lunches for your students. Each day will have a featured entrée along with a choice of fruit and vegetable side dishes and milk for less than the cost of a fast food meal.
Every day entrees of:
8 oz fat free yogurt with bread, crackers or pretzels
peanut butter sandwich with a cheese slice,
peanut butter & jelly sandwich with a cheese slice,
soup of the week with a cheese slice & choice of bread, crackers or pretzels
chef salad with bread, crackers or pretzels
will be offered as alternatives to the featured entrée.
On field trip days a pre-ordered bag lunch with peanut butter, peanut butter & jelly or yogurt along with veggie sticks, fruit, chips, cookie and milk is offered.
On the first day of school applications for free or reduced lunches will be sent home. Students who qualified for free or reduced lunches in June still have the same status until October 1, 2011
October 1st they must pay full price for lunch until their status is re-approved. Therefore it is important that the applications are returned at least a day or two before that date so they can be processed before the deadline.
Please remember that if your income changes during the year, you may make application for free or reduced lunches at any point during the year.
Lunches may be prepaid by the week, month or longer period. If you wish to pay by check, please make it out to OLSH cafeteria and include a note naming the child(ren) , number of days and any extras allowed.
The menus will be issued once a month. Please post it at home so your child knows his(her) choices for lunch.
2011-2012 Lunch Pricing
Lunch with Chocolate or White milk: $2.25
Extra Entrée: $2.25
Extra Milk or Juice: $.50
Side Dish, Chips, Cookie, Veggie Plate: $ .70
Ice Cream: $ .75
Bread & Butter Slice, Garlic Bread or Pretzel Rod: $ .15, 2 for $ .25
Crackers or Extra Salad Dressing : $ .10
We ask that if your child charges her(his) lunch or drink, repayment is made within a day or two.
