Accelerated and Remedial Reading Program
Sr. Cecelia Hooker, RSM, works with small groups of children who need academic assistance, especially in reading. She also works with primary grade students who are accelerated learners.
The time between 7:30 and 8:00 A.M. is set aside as an academic intervention period, when teachers are available to provide additional support to students. Teachers may assign a student to academic intervention, or a parent may request that a child participate.
Three-Tier Reading Program
In grades kindergarten through third grade, students learn reading in a three-tier system. This program ensures that the needs of students at all reading levels are being met.
Math Lab
Students who require extra assistance in math have the opportunity to receive extra support in our Math Lab.
Counseling
Dr. Lori Ricupito, our school counselor, is available one day biweekly to meet with students who may be experiencing personal, social, or academic difficulties.
